Our Mission
Every day, people apply dozens of products to their skin, wash their dishes with chemicals that linger on surfaces, and spray their lawns with substances that can affect their health and the environment. Most of the time, they have no idea what's actually in those products.
IngredientIQ exists to change that. We use AI to translate complex ingredient lists into plain-English safety assessments — so anyone can understand what they're putting on their body, in their home, and in their environment.
Whether you're a parent checking a baby lotion, someone with sensitive skin avoiding known irritants, or just a curious person who wants to know what's actually in their laundry detergent — IngredientIQ is for you.
How It Works
IngredientIQ is powered by Claude AI, one of the most advanced AI models available. When you enter a product name or ingredient list, our system sends that information to Claude, which cross-references its extensive knowledge of ingredient safety data, EWG ratings, dermatological research, and regulatory databases from around the world.
Within seconds, you get a full breakdown of every ingredient — including safety ratings, known concerns, pregnancy safety notes, comedogenic scores, and whether any ingredients are restricted or banned in certain regions.
You can analyze ingredients three ways: by typing a product name or ingredient list, uploading a photo of a product label, or scanning a label live with your camera.
